Lighting

Energy-efficient lighting can bring serious savings to your store. EnergySmart Grocer offers attractive rebates and incentives that will help cover the upfront costs of high-efficiency lighting retrofits proven to save energy and money. These include: LED Case Lighting, General Lighting, and Canopy Lighting. Certain restrictions apply contingent on the participating utility. Please contact EnergySmart Grocer to confirm eligibility.

Strip Curtains/Vinyl Doors

Strip curtains are strips of PVC plastic that hang from a sturdy rail above a walk-in cooler or freezer. They’re also available as vinyl saloon-style doors that mount in the frame of a walk-in. By keeping cool air in, and warm air out, strip curtains lower electric bills and reduce the risk of product spoilage.

Incentives for Restaurant Equipment

Restaurants use about 2.5 times more energy per square foot than other commercial buildings. Through EnergySmart Grocer, restaurants can lower their energy bills and get cash back by switching to energy-efficient equipment such as high-efficiency commercial dishwashers, electric commercial steamers and fryers, lighting and refrigeration retrofits, and more.
